Trip Planning

Typically, I am paid from the commission that is already included in the price when I book tours, cars, hotels, cruises and so forth.

And then there are 3 ways I work:

1. I plan and book the entire trip for you (except possibly flights).
2. You work with me to plan the itinerary, then you book everything yourself.
3. A combination of 1 and 2 where we work together to plan the itinerary and you book some of the items yourself.

For any of the above 3, if I am not booking a major portion of your trip where I earn commission, then there will be a fee to start planning your trip. That fee will be communicated to you during our initial free chat and will be dependent on the complexity of the work. (Normally it will be $120-$300.) ​

How fees work:

• If you do not need any commissionable items or you want a completely custom itinerary (or if you want to mix and match a custom itinerary with some commissionable items), then a trip planning fee would apply. My fees are never hidden and are discussed up front so you know what to expect.
• If you just want hourly itinerary planning, the hourly rate is $120 USD. If you already have an itinerary and would like an expert to review it and give you advice, this can be done by phone or email for a rate of $60 per half hour.
• The 20 minute introductory chat is no charge.

Once you give me a list of the places you want to see, I'll put together a plan on how you can accomplish that. Upon further consultation with you, we will customize your trip and create a personal itinerary specific to your needs and wants. The full package can contain a detailed written itinerary with where you will be staying each night, what activities you could do during the day, check in and check out times, car rental pick up and drop off times, notes about reservations for dinner or shows, and so forth.
